EQ 531 Equine Stress Physiology & Welfare

This course will focus on equine stress physiology, specifically: the cause of stress, stress responses, physiological changes from stress, methods of detecting stress and methods of reducing stress. Additionally, there will be a focus on the role of environmental enrichment, management strategies and handling methods on improving equine welfare.
