NU 482 Community Nursing
Explores public health nursing using health promotion, risk reduction, and disease management and control strategies with vulnerable patients, families, and populations. Community assessment, epidemiologic, environmental, change, political action, and case-management frameworks are used to guide evidence-based nursing care in community settings. Online lecture content with faculty and student interactions and thirty-six (36) practice/simulation hours.
