MLD 506 Data Visualization Inspiration & Persuasion
This graduate course examines the impact of information technology -- including emerging artificial intelligence -- on communication, organizational culture, ethics, and decision making. Students learn to process, analyze, and visualize data using cloud-based analytics and AI enhanced tools. Emphasis is placed on translating empirical results into compelling visual stories and evaluating patterns and trends through dashboards, infographics, and interactive reports using Microsoft Power BI and related applications. Students will also explore responsible AI use for problem solving, data storytelling, and decision support, applying AI tools to enhance analysis, creativity, and communication while maintaining academic integrity and ethical standards.
