MU 515 Immersive Education
This course will provide students with the opportunity to be immersed in a music culture and challenge themselves to deepen their ongoing journey of cultural growth. Students will participate in an immersive music experience in the U.S. or abroad, either in-person or virtually. The educational experience will connect to course objectives in another MAMT course (Engaging with Music Cultures or Culturally Responsive Music Therapy) in which they are enrolled. The course is structured with pre-immersion lessons and/or planning meetings, immersive study participation, then culminates with an outcome to meet the program requirement as determined by the instructor and program director. Course fee applied. This course is repeatable.
