MA 222 Sports Rankings: Applications in Linear Algebra

This course is intended to give an approachable first look at the subject of linear algebra by focusing on applications in sports rankings and other popular rankings. Topics include: the Offense-Defense Rating Method, Point Spreads, User Preference Ratings, Massey's Method, Colley's Method, Systems of Linear Equations, Matrix Operations, Eigenvectors and Eigenvalues.
