EQ 540 Advanced Equine Reproductive Physiology
This graduate-level course provides an in-depth examination of reproductive anatomy, physiology, and endocrinology in the horse, emphasizing the integration of research findings with applied reproductive management. Topics include gametogenesis, reproductive endocrinology, estrous cycle regulation, behavioral and environmental influences on fertility, pregnancy establishment and maintenance, placental function, parturition, and postpartum physiology.
