Master of Science in Equine Studies
The M.S. in Equine Studies offers three concentrations: Equine Coaching and Instruction, Equine Science Thesis Option and Equine Science Non-Thesis Option.
The Equine Coaching and Instruction concentration will prepare students to teach and coach an equestrian team at the college or university level and additionally these students will also be prepared for administrative or supervisory level positions at equestrian organizations or riding programs.
The Equine Science Thesis Option concentration will prepare students who are wanting to advance their skills sets prior to entry into Vet School, planning to continue on to obtain an Ph.D. in Equine or Animal Science or planning to teach at the college or university level.
The Equine Science Non-Thesis Option concentration will prepare students to teach at the college or university level that are not planning conducting research. Additionally, this degree path is valuable to high school agricultural instructors wanting to increase their salary or as continuing education credits for agricultural extension agents.
