NU 495 Professional Role

This course synthesizes theory, research, and professional nursing knowledge through a precepted clinical experience. Students demonstrate advanced clinical judgment, holistic and equitable care, and interprofessional collaboration. Emphasis is placed on cultural humility, social determinants of health, advocacy, informatics, and systems evaluation. Learners integrate evidence for quality improvement and exemplify professional nursing values and accountability in practice. Forty-five (45) didactic course hours and one hundred twenty (120) clinical and project hours.
