NU 222 Pharmacology Therapeutics

Introduces pharmacologic principles essential to safe, evidence-based nursing care through lecture and laboratory experiences. Students examine drug classifications, dosage calculations, documentation, medication administration, safety, and patient-centered teaching. Emphasis includes legal and ethical responsibilities, and cultural and social influences on medication management across the lifespan. Forty-five (45) didactic course hours and forty-five (45) practice hours.
