NU 511 Healthcare Policy and Advocacy

This course examines the development, analysis, and influence of health policy at local, national, and global levels. Emphasis is placed on the role of advanced practice nurses in shaping policy to improve population health outcomes and reduce health inequities. Students analyze policy-making processes, economic and regulatory influences, and advocacy strategies within complex healthcare systems. The course prepares nurses to collaborate with stakeholders, influence health policy, and advocate for vulnerable and diverse populations.
