NU 517 Theories for Advanced Practice Nursing

This course examines the philosophical foundations and theoretical frameworks that inform advanced nursing practice. Nursing and interdisciplinary theories are analyzed and applied to guide clinical judgment, scholarship, leadership, and systems-based practice. Emphasis is placed on evaluating the relevance of theoretical perspectives to advanced practice roles and integrating theory into evidence-based, person-centered care. Students synthesize theoretical knowledge to develop a conceptual model that supports their evolving professional identity and advanced nursing practice.
