NU 525 Advanced Physical Assessment

This course provides advanced knowledge and clinical experience in comprehensive health assessment of diverse patients across the lifespan within the context of advanced nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition, interpretation, and organization of data obtained through patient interviews and physical examinations. Students develop advanced assessment skills to differentiate normal physiological variations from abnormal findings and apply clinical reasoning to formulate comprehensive and problem-focused assessments. Two credits didactic, one credit skills laboratory.
