NU 550 Clinical Management II
This course focuses on the application of advanced clinical decision-making for the management of common chronic conditions in primary care. Emphasis is placed on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and evidence-based management of chronic health conditions across the lifespan, with particular focus on adult and older adult populations. Students develop skills in patient and family education, treatment planning, guideline-based management, follow-up care, and appropriate referrals. The course includes a didactic component and a 150-hour precepted clinical experience in an outpatient primary care setting.
